Meet Barbara...

She's been a consultant to Scottish Government and organisations in the arts and public sector. She's been a speechwriter, a presenter, an event producer. She's coached politicians and even a pop group.

My first wedding was with Jane and Richard, under an ancient oak tree on the Solstice. Jane and her grown-up daughter wore long dresses and cowboy boots. Richard wore the kilt. We tied the knot and Erin played percussion on a chime bar.
With Cath and Iz, the big day was in the grounds of the beautiful Kelburn Estate – a place with so much meaning for them. Niall and Willie had their dog Bowie bring the rings up the aisle in Pollokshields Burgh Hall. Steph and Koen celebrated joining their surnames by a lavender field in Provence. Denise and Ali married in a flurry of fire, flowers, fur coats and furry friends in the Melodon Hills near Edinburgh in December. Sarah and Lou tied the knot in a beautiful garden setting in Devon. Straight, gay, traditional or alternative, I’m here to help couples create a day that is full of meaning… creating memories that will last as long as their love. |
Testimonials
“We barely have words to express what a contribution you made to our special day. Your ceremony was beyond special for us, full of our personality, and fitted us so well. We had SO many comments on how much it felt like us, how it helped people to know our story, that people learned new traditions and how great you were. Also an appreciation for the LGBTQ+ family too! It really was absolutely beautiful. Thanks eternally.”— Sarah & Lou
“Thank you so much for the ceremony last week, it could not have gone any better! We were both so so happy with how it went and we are so grateful to how brilliant you were! We had so many people come up to us and tell us how fabulous you were and how much they enjoyed it! Thank you so much!”

“So many people said the ceremony was the best one they had ever been to. Especially all our friends from abroad who had never been to a Humanist ceremony. They thought it was much more personal and meaningful. It goes without saying that the wedding would not have been the same without all your help and hard work. We are so grateful for everything you did.”
