Through her work in theatre, Cora has extensive experience telling the stories of others on stage, often foregrounding the stories of minorities and those most vulnerable in society. She sees her celebrant role as a continuation of her work telling stories with the values she has lived by.
“When I started to think about celebrancy, it became apparent to me that there were a lot of similarities to my work in theatre: listening to people’s stories, empathising, finding a way to structure that information so it can be shared with others in a beautiful, crafted and meaningful way.” |
